A Male Makeup Routine For Beginners

Sunday, May 20, 2018 4:20:15 PM Europe/London

Hi Lucy, Thanks so much for your speedy response. As a novice in all this, I am guided by your professional assessment. I’m just curious how the products you suggest work with an after shave moisturizer that I use. Other than that I am ready to try the products you suggest. I would hope that they come with some instructions concerning use. It seems that one should have some idea of how and what they are applying and when.

I Suffer With Breakouts - What Makeup For Men Should I Use?

Monday, May 7, 2018 8:51:40 PM Europe/London

Hello, I would like some advice on the correct product range for myself. Unfortunately, I have a fairly bad skin, acne scars, dark spots and I’m still struggling with ongoing breakouts (at 28 years of age). I have never used make-up before, but considering giving it a try for some extra confidence boost and would like something that would enable me to cover up my skin imperfections to a moderate level. The main concern in regards of foundation / concealer / powders is that ‘m afraid to clog my pores even more resulting in additional breakouts which is completely undesirable result. Also, I don’t take heat very well, so I’m worried that during the hot summer days I would look like a melted candle J. I was looking into primer / foundation / concealer / powder / setting spray combinations.

What Men’s Makeup Do I Apply If I Have Oily Skin?

Tuesday, March 27, 2018 5:21:29 AM Europe/London

Hi lucy thank you for your reply, i would love a little advice if you don’t mind. I’m only just realising that “mens make up” is a thing, I’ve been using a Max Factor or Rimell liquid foundation but have always felt self conscious that someone is noticing that i’m wearing it.

I wouldn’t say my skin is terrible, just the fact that it looks a little red, blotchy and have a few blemishes from when i had acne as a teenager, so i’ve never wanted to get a foundation to flat out cover it but just to ease the colour of my skin.

How to get a Matte Finish Male Makeup Look

Wednesday, March 7, 2018 11:42:00 AM Europe/London

Good Morning, I am very interested in trying the MMUK Man Concealer and the rest of the MMUK Man range but I do not know which shade will match my skin tone. I have never used make up before, I do not know where to start and what to finish with. After lots of thinking, I’ve decided to push the boundaries in order to enhance my appearance. If it is possible ,would you be able to decide which shade/products will be suited best based on the three pictures that I have attached. I am after a natural, matte look that is 100% undetectable. Many Thanks.

Skincare Tips for Men with Combination Skin

Tuesday, February 27, 2018 11:46:53 AM Europe/London

Despite being the most popular skin type, combination skin is often the most difficult to conquer, when trying to piece together a successful men’s skin care routine. The main reason for this is that there are so many products on the men’s grooming market that are targeted for specific minority skin types and those with Combination Skin have free reign to build a skin care regime with what’s left. If your skin tends to be oily and shiny on your forehead and nose and dry in other areas of your face - you have combination skin.

GUEST POST: Building A Makeup Routine From Scratch

Tuesday, February 6, 2018 12:42:00 PM Europe/London

I’m just a regular guy, in my very very very early 30’s (if anyone asks; I’m 23) living in London with my husband, working in an office… I have given my opinions and advice to many of my straight male friends and like to think of myself as someone who helps bridge the gap between my gal-pals and their fellas! My views and opinions are my own; I’m not a trained beautician, makeup-artist, nutritionist or Doctor… but here is what I’ve got to say about things….

How To Cover Up Thread Veins

Thursday, February 1, 2018 4:07:38 PM Europe/London

Hiya apologies in advance for the dodgy looking photos lol. I found your website on google and I have read your article on “James” and I wondered about giving this a go.

I have been spending a lot of money of thread vein removal treatments and although it has worked on some I still have some left and it’s not a completely pleasant experience so I wondered instead about makeup because I’m told they can always return anyway even after spending hundreds of pounds on this...

An Everyday Makeup Routine For Men

Wednesday, January 17, 2018 3:23:59 PM Europe/London

Hi there MMUK, Could you please advise on suitable products for me to use. I previously have used a tinted moisturiser which has now been discontinued and not sure which colour option to select to give a natural glow/tint that can be used every day that will also even out my skin tone (rosey cheeks!) along with an eye bag concealer. I would also be interested in the beard filler as have some patchy parts though keep it to more of a stubble. I am ginger naturally by dye my hair an ash blond so would want something to also slightly colour my stubble at the same time (blonde). I also am looking for a brow gel/slight colour to give a bit more definition that would match the blonde hair without standing out too much (but more than they do now) finally I have really light eye lashes and would be interested in advice on again a product that would give my eyes natural definition. All of the above I would need to look as natural as possible

How Can I Cover Up Teenage Redness?

Wednesday, January 3, 2018 4:04:50 AM Europe/London

Hi Adam Happy New Year to you! I’m hoping you can help with a recommendation as to which of your products would be suitable for my son who suffers from familial facial redness (pics attached).

He’s been to the GP several times about this which has basically been there his whole life. The GP has ruled out Rosacea and treated him for dry skin etc but nothing really makes any difference. It’s just a family characteristic. I know because I have it myself but am able to manage it with female make-up products. I use a mineral foundation which works really well, so I was thinking there’s maybe a product with a very natural look in your male make-up range which would suit my son. You seem to offer a few mineral foundations but I’m not quite sure which colour would be best.

A Men’s Makeup Routine For Christmas Parties

Monday, November 27, 2017 4:02:04 PM Europe/London

With the party season just around the corner, there’s a good chance that you’ve got a high number of festive functions and Christmas drinks being penned into your calendar, probably by the day. Then there’s the office Christmas party to think about and all the fun that that involves. One thing that might not be as fun is trying to stay on top of a fresh and clear complexion over the coming weeks, as late nights, after-work drinks and the odd indulgent takeaway or two start to play havoc with your skin’s vitality.
